Fugues & Fire with Aurora Camerata
We are delighted to join Aurora Camerata and their Artistic Director, James Kennerley, for a stunning evening of historical performance at St. Luke’s Cathedral in Portland, Maine. Under the direction of our Music Director, Robert Russell, ChoralArt Camerata is thrilled to collaborate on a program that celebrates the brilliance and vitality of the Baroque era.
The evening features four iconic works inspired by the seasons: the ever-vibrant Concerto for Two Trumpets by Antonio Vivaldi, the radiant joy of Vivaldi’s Gloria, the dazzling virtuosity of the Jig Fugue for organ solo, and the majestic grandeur of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat.
Performed on period instruments and brought to life with authentic Baroque style, Fugues & Fire invites audiences to step into the rich sound world of 18th-century Europe—alive with color, passion, and beauty.
